Philosophies PhotoAbout the Writers:

Jodi Greene is a homeschool mom and professional content writer and editor. She married her best friend and high school sweetheart, Skot, in September, 1997 and they became a family of three in 2011, when their daughter, Shelby, was born. Jodi loves camping, kayaking, and Jeeping. She blogs for FWC’s apologetics ministry and at Philosophies of Strawberry Short Cake when she can, is an avid bookworm and fitness enthusiast, and is awed by God’s grace. Jodi is passionate about home education and started and manages Journeys in Homeschooling, an FWC life group geared toward supporting homeschoolers and those interested in homeschooling. As a God chaser and student of Jesus Christ, Jodi is excited to share with you how God has and is continuing to mold and shape her. Jodi will be posting on the first week of the month.

DSC07818-1Jamie Lucero works from home as a professional content writer – and she is Jodi’s mama. A Bible teacher and speaker for 40 years, her love for God and His Word marks everything she says and does. In walking through some of life’s hardest trials, she has found His joy to be her strength, and His grace sufficient. Having read the Bible through nearly 50 times, His Word is indeed is a lamp to her feet and a light to her path.

Jamie is married to Ben, a servant-leader in FWC’s Celebrate Recovery ministry. Jamie delights in some of the oddest things most precious treasures found in the Bible! You will be blessed, strengthened, and sharpened as you read what the Lord lays on Jamie’s heart. Jamie will be posting on the last week of each month.

Married 54 years, Sharon Manning is a mother of five, grandmother of 15, and great-grandmother of six (with another due any day).  She is active in her children’s and grandchildren’s lives and in Bible studies and service teams, and she currently is writing her first solo book.

Sharon came to know the LORD Jesus as a preteen and has studied the Word of GOD from cover to cover. She says her three years of studying biblical Greek has opened up the Bible even more. But she believes the key is approaching the Word with the attitude of meeting GOD there and recognizing that unless the Holy Spirit translates it as she reads, she may misunderstand what GOD is saying.  She asks questions, expects answers, and receives discernment to rightly divide the Word.

Sharon has taught many Sunday school and women’s Bible studies, spent 10 summers and many weekends year round working at a Christian camp as a cabin, staff, and head girl’s counselor, as well as the nitty-gritty working of the dining room and kitchen during guest camps.  She’s had the joy of going on three prayer journeys to different countries, of co-training several people for their first prayer journey, and of reading, organizing, and compiling the written reports of hundreds of prayer journeys for the Christian Information Network – now called Windows International (WIN). She’s also given of her time to research for up-to-date prayer needs and writing for books for Window’s.  Her greatest desire is three-fold: To know, to glorify, and to witness of the LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Women Serving TopAbout the Blog:

The goal of this blog is to glorify God, and to walk together down life’s road, sharing in sorrows and joys, as we learn to find victory in Jesus. It is here where we, you and I, will share what God is doing in our lives, what He lays on our hearts, how He is growing us, how He is shaping us. We will also share upcoming news and events, and how you can join with Family Worship Center and the Sister’s Ministry to bless others and grow in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Join me as we look into the very Word of God, unearth the footprints of Jesus, and follow hard after Him. Come and sit with me a while and talk to me, too, by leaving comments and sharing what God is doing in your life!
