The Bible tells a story of a gal who was looking for her lover, but couldn’t find HIM. Then some others asked her why was HE so special. After stopping and telling them about HIM, they asked her where to find HIM. It was uncanny, after she had related HIS qualities, she knew exactly where HE would be. (see Song of Solomon).
Seems like a contradiction, doesn’t it? Here she had been searching for him. She had looked and looked, but couldn’t find him anywhere. Until, she stopped her frantic hunting long enough to think about HIM and relate to others some of HIS wonderful qualities. Then she knew exactly where HE was.
Something quite similar happened to me a few nights ago. There was a serious situation at home, but I had no clue how to handle it. I also had a class I needed to go to. So, I quickly handed the problem to the LORD, and putting it aside, I went to my class.
During the class, one of the gals mentioned something she was struggling with. Silently I called out the LORD, asking how I could encourage her (Proverbs 3:5-7). A verse popped into my mind that seemed to speak directly to her situation, so I shared it with her. It was fun to watch her face light up as the scripture directed her in the way she should go.
But seeing the LORD give her an answer for her problem, reminded me of mine. So I called out again to the LORD, this time for me. Upon reaching home, I found the problematic situation had taken a new twist. That very verse I had shared with my friend, flashed in my mind. And sure enough, it was the exact direction I needed to take. GOD is so good!
So, even if you are in a hard situation, not sure of what to do, fulfill your responsibilities. You may have to temporarily push your problem aside, leaving it with the LORD, to reach out in love to those around you. The answer GOD gives you to share with them, could be the very one you need.
Looking unto JESUS the Author and Perfecter of my faith.
