God is good. And He’s seen fit to bring us yet another author for our blog! In just nine months, this blog has grown from one author to five, and we are so grateful to welcome Sharon Manning to the Sisters’ Ministry blog.
Married 53 years, Sharon Manning is a mother of five, grandmother of 15, and great-grandmother of six (with another due any day). She is active in her children’s and grandchildren’s lives and in Bible studies and service teams, and she currently is writing her first solo book.
Sharon came to know the LORD Jesus as a preteen and has studied the Word of GOD from cover to cover. She says her three years of studying biblical Greek has opened up the Bible even more. But she believes the key is approaching the Word with the attitude of meeting GOD there and recognizing that unless the Holy Spirit translates it as she reads, she may misunderstand what GOD is saying. She asks questions, expects answers, and receives discernment to rightly divide the Word.
Sharon has taught many Sunday school and women’s Bible studies, spent 10 summers and many weekends year round working at a Christian camp as a cabin, staff, and head girl’s counselor, as well as the nitty-gritty working of the dining room and kitchen during guest camps. She’s had the joy of going on three prayer journeys to different countries, of co-training several people for their first prayer journey, and of reading, organizing, and compiling the written reports of hundreds of prayer journeys for the Christian Information Network – now called Windows International (WIN). She’s also given of her time to research for up-to-date prayer needs and writing for books for Window’s. Her greatest desire is three-fold: To know, to glorify, and to witness of the LORD JESUS CHRIST.
We are so thankful to have Sharon aboard. She will be writing weekly, beginning next week, alongside Jodi, Hosanna, Jacque, and Jamie.
